Undergraduate Ayurveda and Unani medical students are able to see a wide spectrum of medical and surgical conditions that they have probably seen only in text books before. They will be able to (depending on the availability)
- Participate in bed-side interactive teaching sessions, ward rounds, ward classes and
small group discussions - Attend casualty nights to observe acute case management
- Attend lectures/seminars/symposia
- Visit clinics
- Assist minor surgeries/ post-operative management at the operation theatre
- Perform minor procedure/surgeries under supervision
- Do casualty night-on calls (as shadow house officer)
- Visit outpatient department
- Develop a list of Patya-Apathya advises specific to individual case
- Perform treatment procedures eg. Panchakarma, Ilaj bit tadbeer and case handling
during the pre and post treatment period under supervision - Identify raw drugs, finish products of Ayurveda/Unani dosage forms
- Actively engage in drug preparation, storing and packaging process (Ayurveda/Unani)
